Journals
Reflective journalling is an important part of Big Picture Learning because it gives me a space to regularly look back on my learning, experiences and growth. My journals are not only about the projects I am working on; they also capture experiences inside and outside of school, challenges I have faced, decisions I have made, things I have learned about myself and thoughts about my future. Throughout Years 11 and 12, journaling has helped me track the development of my projects, recognise when I need to change my approach, plan what I need to do next and reflect on how different experiences have shaped me. Looking back through my journals also shows how my thinking, independence and confidence have developed over time.

So, to save you the trouble, I’ve chosen my five best journals from Year 11. These entries give you a snapshot of my experiences, learning and growth throughout the year. Enjoy!!
